New York’s Shvona Lavette watches the representation of a burdensome, tense relationship play out before her in the video for “Danger,” a single form her latest album, New Moon.
In the black-and-white visual, ballet dancers Latrice Gregory and Michael Simmons perform the role of a strenuous relationship thanks to “Dreamgirls” choreographer, Eboni Nichols.
Lavette tells THE FADER, “I wrote 'Danger' because we can all relate to the vicious circle of arduous love. I wanted to be honest and transparent about a topic all too familiar.”
