Fresh off their 7-date Australian summer tour, Former Murder Inc. labelmates Ashanti and Ja Rule have plans to bring the trek to the U.S.
While spinning on New York's Power 105, Ja Rule's DJ, DJ Will, confirmed the planned tour. No further details are currently available.
During the 2000s, Ashanti and Ja Rule dominated the radio and clubs with hits like "Always On Time," "Mesmerize," "What's Luv," and "Happy."
In not so good news, Ashanti and Ja Rule's Aussie tour reportedly ended on a sour note. According to theMusic.com-au, the music veterans were scheduled to hit the stage at 11:30pm, three hours after doors opened, but did not come on until 12:30am and only performed for half an hour.
Those in attendance also claim that a fan threw a water bottle in anger as Ashanti left the stage.
One fan wrote on the event Facebook page: "waited an hour for them to come on stage and then get a 20min show when they were suppose to be on for an hour and a half!!” while another said, "I give ten points to the person who threw the bottle at Ashanti as she walked off stage talking some bulls**t about how much she loved her fans."
"It's NEVER the intent of an artist to disappoint their fans… I'm sorry that y'all were cheated out of a great show!!!," Ja Rule stated on Twitter. "To all the fans at the 2nd show in Sydney I'm sorry that u guys were the victims of a bad situation!!!"
No bueno!
