Tinashe takes advantage of visual animations for her simplistic and eery new music video for the song, "Cold Sweat." In the Stephen Garnett-directed clip, the stripped-down R&B beauty uses effects to morph her body into various psychedelic forms. Pretty much, she looks like something from a scary movie.
"Cold Sweat," a track from Tinashe's debut album, Aquarius, follows up the recently released video for "All Hands on Deck."
Tinashe is currently prepping her sophomore album, and she has already enlisted producer heavyweights Dr. Luke, Max Martin, Cirkut, and Rock City. She promises bolder hooks and newer sounds.
"With this album, I have a very much clearer direction going into it of what I wanted as opposed to just shooting darts at the wall," Tinashe recently told Spin.
She added: "[With this album], I’d like to play with some more tempos, to not have it all be in the mid-tempo range even though a lot of my music is. It’s been an adventure for me to figure out how to do my version of an uptempo…"
Tinashe will hit the road next month with Nicki Minaj for "The Pinkprint Tour." Also, she will join Ciara and Jason Derulo in a tribute to music icon Janet Jackson at the upcoming BET Awards.
