Meet Candace Wakefield, industry background singer and burgeoning singer-songwriter from L.A. She has sung background for Kendrick Lamar, Ciara (as seen on CiCi’a recent acoustic performance of "I Bet"), and Nicki Minaj, whom she's about to take off on tour with soon.
However, she also aspires to step out as her own artist. Her new single, "1993 Camaro," is inspired by her journey to success as a songwriter; she literally has written and recorded over 500 songs in her 1993 Camaro!
She says about the song, "'1993 Camaro' is a personal song that alows you into my thought process when it comes to my success. My car is where I write and record majority of my work. It is my sanctuary. I hope these lyrics inspired and touch those who are dreamers just like me. Keep on dreaming and keeping on believing."
