Sony Music announced a shake-up at two of its largest labels that will included the departure of the head of its Columbia Records unit. Steve Barnett has been named Chairman, Columbia Records Group. Mr. Barnett, formerly President of Epic Records, is based in New York and reports to Mr. Ienner and Ms. Anthony. Steve Greenberg will continue as President, Columbia Records. In his new role, Mr. Barnett will be responsible for the overall management of Columbia Records Group. Lisa Ellis has been promoted to President, Sony Urban Music. Most recently, Ms. Ellis served as General Manager, Sony Urban Music. She will report to both Mr. Ienner and Ms. Anthony and is based in New York. In this role Ms. Ellis will be responsible for the overall management of Sony Urban Music. Tom Donnarumma has been named General Manager, Columbia Records. Mr. Donnarumma was previously Executive Vice President, Sales, Sony Music Label Group. He is based in New York. In his new role, Mr. Donnarumma will work closely with Mr. Barnett in overseeing the day to day operations of Columbia Records. He will also directly oversee marketing, artist development, online strategies and publicity. Charlie Walk, formerly Executive Vice President, Creative Marketing & Promotion, Columbia Records Group, has been promoted to the position of President, Epic Records. Mr. Walk is based in New York and will report to both Mr. Ienner and Ms. Anthony. In his new role, Mr. Walk will be responsible for the overall management of Epic Records. Michele Anthony has been named President of the Sony Music Label Group U.S., in addition to continuing her responsibilities as Chief Operating Officer of the Group. Anthony will continue to report to Mr. Ienner and be based in New York. As President and COO, Ms. Anthony will work closely with Mr. Ienner in overseeing the management and operations of the Sony Music Label Group. She will also work closely with the management teams at Columbia Records Group, Epic Records, Sony Music Nashville and Sony Urban Music to help realize the goals of the labels and their artists. Also Alan Price has been named Senior Vice President, Finance and Operations, Sony Music Label Group U.S.
