It must be nerve-wracking to know your ex will testify in your court case!
As previously reported, Robin Thicke and estranged wife Paula Patton are going through a very high profile divorce, but Robin’s legal drama regarding his hit single “Blurred Lines” may be coming to haunt him in his marriage drama.
Over a year ago, Marvin Gaye’s family put the legal chokehold on Robins hit, claiming “Blurred” plagiarizes the legendary crooner’s work from Gaye's 1977 song “Got To Give It Up.”
The case is expected to head to trial, and now according to new court documents, Patton is on the list as a witness to testify against Thicke, however, not about “Blurred Lines.” The legend's son Marvin Gaye III also has beef with Robin's 2011 single “Love After War” (the title track from his 2011 fifth album, Love After War) on which Gaye III family thinks copies his father's song “After The Dance.” Patton is listed as co-writer of the song, and she appears in the video.
Robin’s last album Paula (which is dedicated to his soon-to-be-ex wife and created to get her back), failed to make a dent on the charts, as it debuted at No. 9 with a mere 24,000 copies sold in its first week.
