Rapper Nicki Minaj came under fire with the release of the lyric video for her latest single "Only," which features Lil Wayne, Drake, and Chris Brown.
The animated visual showcases the Young Money rapper at the center of a mass rally similar to the infamous propaganda events organized by the Nazi regime. Throughout the video a swastika-like symbol adorns flags and boards.
Issuing an apology, Minaj took "full responsibility" for the video, insisting that's not something she condones.
"The artist who made the lyric video for “Only” was influenced by a cartoon on Cartoon Network called "Metalocalypse" & Sin City," Minaj wrote on Twitter. "Both the producer, & person in charge of over seeing the lyric video (one of my best friends & videographer: A. Loucas), happen to be Jewish. I didn't come up w/the concept, but I'm very sorry & take full responsibility if it has offended anyone. I'd never condone Nazism in my art."
