Chris Brown Forced to Defend Himself After a Fight Broke Out at An Event He Was Hosting
Trouble, fights, and/or other incidents — all these events normally happen in clubs, but when Chris Brown is in the room, many usually try to blame the R&B crooner because of his troubled past.
A recent incident at the VIP Room in New York City finds the Grammy winner defending himself once again. Brown was hosting the event when a fight broke out early morning on September 11, leaving one victim with an eye injury.
“A man hit by a shard of glass at the VIP Club at 409 W. 13th St. was in stable condition with an eye injury at Beth Israel Hospital,” reports the NY Post.
After TMZ reported: “Law enforcement sources tell us they are not sure if Chris was directly involved … but a witness tells us he was in the club, in a V.I.P. section, when the brawl broke out,” Brown took to Twitter to set the record straight.
“There was no brawl involving me or anyone from my camp last night at the VIP room. The devil is in full effect at all times. God is the way,” writes Brown.
VIP Room tells HollywoodLife.com that the incident occurred, “approximately 50 feet” from Chris and his group:
At approximately 2:45am, a male patron, who has yet to be identified, attempted to pour a beer over another person. It’s our understanding that a bottle of beer shattered on a column and a shard of glass caused a minor laceration to another patron’s eye. The guest with the injury left the venue without notifying club management or security. Security promptly removed the patron who had been holding the beer bottle from the club. No arrests were made. Chris Brown was completely oblivious to the incident and had nothing to do with what transpired nor was he or any of his group affected in any way. VIP ROOM is cooperating with the police and their investigation.”
In a recent interview with Billboard, Breezy admitted to being more mature since his recent legal flubs. It seems he is being just that… mature.
