R&B singer Sammie has reportedly severed ties with Dallas Austinâs Rowdy Records, the label where he released his 2006 self titled hit album âSammie.â With the release of his new single âOne Way Street,â Sammie will release all new music under the independent imprint Empire Entertainment headed by music industry veteran Malcolm Lee according to a recent release from the label. “The release from Rowdy Records wasn’t mutual, but needed! This new start gives Sammie the opportunity to perform in front of his fans again and show that talent is still warranted in this business,â said Malcolm Lee CEO of Empire Entertainment/MEG Management. After a successful debut with âFrom the Bottom to the Top,â Sammie returned to the scene with his highly anticipated sophomore album, appropriately entitled Sammie. The R&B Heartthrob recently made his acting debut starring as the lead in the latest “Rap-It-Up” PSA currently in heavy rotation on BET and is in the studio recording his 3rd album.
