2014 is off to a great start for recording artist and producer Pharrell Williams. Following Sunday's Grammy Award wins and a special performance of "Get Lucky," Williams has tons to celebrate when it comes to his single "Happy."
According to Billboard, "Happy" is on the rise on many a chart this week thanks to music listeners.
"The man beneath the hat – the hat with its own Twitter handle, that is, thanks to its ability to cap-tivate audiences worldwide at last night's Grammy Awards – makes headway with his new single "Happy," reports Billboard.
The lead single from his forthcoming second studio album has made top 40 debuts on both the Adult R&B Songs (no.24) and Pop Songs charts (No.31). It has also arrived at no.37 on the Rhythmic Songs and no.48 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay charts.
As previously reported, the song has been certified Platinum in the UK.Pharrell is also set to perform at the BRIT Awards in February.
His second studio album is due later this year.
