Additional performers were announced recently for this yearâs BET Awards including chart topping R&B singers Alicia Keys and Chris Brown. This yearâs show, titled âThe Hottest Ticket on Televisionâ will be hosted by comedian and sitcom star D.L. Hughley instead of the popular BET Award host Moniqueâ. Hughley, known for his prime time sitcom âThe Hughleys,â âThe Kings of Comedy,â and other projects joins the company of previous BET Award hosts Will and Jada Pinkett Smith and fellow comedian Damon Wayans. Chris Brown, Alicia Keys, Kanye West and Young Jeezy will join previously announced performers Usher, Mary J. Blige, Lil Wayne and Mariah Carey for the June 24th broadcast.
