Kelly Rowland says releasing and performing "Dirty Laundry," her breakthrough single, has been "therapeutic."
Appearing on BET's 106 & Park recently, the "Talk A Good Game" diva and "X Factor USA" judge talked about the song and a performance that ended with a few tears and raw emotion on stage.
"The song has really been therapeutic for me. It's a place where I was. I'm of course in a different place and it was just very emotional for me. Just going back to that place mentally. Being there. That's all that was. The emotion just erupted. It's mine. But I'm a big girl now. I'm grown," Rowland told 106 & Park.
Preparing for the release of her anticipated album, due June 18, Kelly went on to confirm work with producers and writers like Pharrell Williams and Sevyn.
"I've worked with so many great writers and producers from Rock City to Pharrell to Sevyn. I'm just really excited about the body of work," said Rowland.
