Justin Timberlake has made history with his third studio album, "The 20/20 Experience." Not only did the album debut atop the Billboard 200 this week, it's also this year's best selling album, in terms of first week sales, and the best debut for a solo male artist in years.

According to Nielsen Soundscan, Timberlake's "The 20/20 Experience" sold 968,000 copies within the last week, making it his best opening week to date (following "Future Sex/Love Sounds," which debuted with 684,000 copies sold in 2006).

"Timberlake's bow with "20/20" is biggest overall sales frame since Taylor Swift's "Red" debuted with 1.2 million on the Nov. 10, 2012-dated chart. Among male artists, Timberlake has the largest week in nearly five years," Billboard reports.

In addition to that, "The 20/20 Experience" is the first album from a male singer to debut with figures like this since Usher's "Confessions" debuted with over 1.1 million copies sold in 2004.

Led by the singles "Suit & Tie" and "Mirrors," Timberlake's album is just one piece of what is shaping up to be a major comeback. According to his manager, Timberlake is set to release a follow up to the album later this year and he's going on not just one tour, but two, by year's end.

Congrats to Justin Timberlake. Well done.

Justin Timberlake has done it again! His new album ’20/20′ debuted at the top of the charts, making him the first artist in a decade to do so. It’s an impressive feat that many thought was impossible – beating out Usher’s 2004 record for best-selling debut with ‘Confessions’. So what made this latest release by JT such a success? Let’s take a closer look.

In 2020, Justin Timberlake released one of his most acclaimed albums ever. After months of anticipation and speculation around what he had been working on, fans were thrilled when they heard ’20/20′ drop. The collection featured some exciting collaborations, including tracks with legendary artists like Alicia Keys and Chris Stapleton as well as incredible production from Timbaland and Danja. With its blend of funk, R&B, soulful ballads, and modern rap elements, it quickly became clear why 20/20 was being embraced globally.

The chart success of this album is remarkable considering the highly competitive music industry today. Most impressively though, Timberlake beat out Usher’s Confessions which held the record for best debut since 2004 until now. This achievement marks yet another milestone for Justin Timberlake who continues to prove himself as one of the greatest musicians of our time.

Album Overview

Justin Timberlake’s sixth studio album, “20/20 Experience,” was released on March 15th, 2013 to critical acclaim and massive success. The pop icon had been away from the music scene for six years before its release and his return was welcomed with open arms by fans around the world. This album is a departure from his previous work: it delves into genres such as soul and R&B while still maintaining the signature sound that has made him so successful in the past.

The first single from the album, “Suit & Tie,” was co-produced by Timbaland and features Jay-Z rapping in the middle of the song. It quickly became one of Timberlake’s most popular singles ever, reaching #3 on Billboard Hot 100 chart. Following its release were more hits such as “Mirrors” which climbed all the way to number 2 on Billboard Top 10 list. The whole album also debuted at number 1 on Billboard 200 Album chart selling over 900k copies worldwide within its first week – making it Timberlake’s highest debut since Usher’s 2004 double platinum record Confessions.

Overall, 20/20 Experience was an incredibly successful project both commercially and critically; it provided fans with something fresh yet familiar after several years without any new material from Justin Timberlake. With catchy beats and effortless vocals he proved once again why he remains one of today’s biggest stars in modern music.

Comparisons To Usher’s Confessions

It is clear that Justin Timberlake’s 20/20 Experience was an instant success, but it begs the question: how does it compare to Usher’s 2004 double platinum record Confessions? Both albums experienced a meteoric rise on the charts and were met with critical acclaim. However, they have some key differences as well.

Confessions had a much more traditional R&B sound than 20/20 Experience, making use of instruments like pianos and strings rather than electronic synthesizers and drum samples. Additionally, Confessions featured heavy collaborations with other artists such as Ludacris and Lil Jon while 20/20 features primarily solo work by Timberlake himself. The production style of both albums is also quite different – Timbaland handled most of the production for 20/20 while Jermaine Dupri took charge of producing Confessions.

Ultimately, each album speaks to its respective artist’s growth musically over time – both Usher and Timberlake delivered something completely unique compared to their old works. While there are many similarities between them, these two projects still stand out distinctly from one another in terms of sound and content.

Conclusion

I. Summary of Justin Timberlake’s 20/20 Album
Justin Timberlake’s highly anticipated album, 20/20, debuted on top of the charts this week. The singer-songwriter’s fifth studio album was praised for its mix of R&B and pop styles as well as its collaborations with artists like Pharrell Williams and Chris Stapleton. With singles such as “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” and “Suit & Tie,” it is no surprise that 20/20 charted so well.

II. Comparisons to Usher’s Confessions
The success of 20/20 has led many fans to compare it to Usher’s 2004 Grammy Award winning album Confessions. Both albums feature a blend of old school R&B sounds while also incorporating modern day production values, making them both appealing to today’s generation of music fans. In addition, they have both achieved major commercial success in their debut weeks; however, it remains unclear if 20/20 will outsell Confessions or receive similar critical acclaim.

III. Conclusion
In conclusion, Justin Timberlake’s latest release proves he still has what it takes to make hit records after over 15 years in the industry. While only time can tell whether his efforts will be remembered in the same way as Usher’s classic album Confessions, I personally think there is nothing stopping him from doing so. He is an artist who continues to challenge himself musically and push boundaries with each new project and I look forward to seeing where he goes next with his career!
