The-Dream’s fourth studio LP “The Love, IV” has been pushed back once again in order to make room for the re-release of his once-free mixtape “1977.”

Released under his government name Terius Nash, “1977” dropped in August 2011. Allegedly, his label Island Def Jam was unhappy with his decision to release the project for free. Meanwhile, “The Love, IV” album was to be originally released on Sept 20, 2011, but was pushed back due to “contract negotiations.”

Fast-forward to the present. “The Love, IV” is still being delayed, but the freebie album “1977” is being released again under his stage moniker “The-Dream” with new cover art for commercial release. The new version will feature the same tracks as the freebie, along with two new ones, “AK47” and “Tender Tendencies.” Pharrell and Big Sean are also guest features on the disc.

No word on the indefinite postponing of “The Love, IV.”

The slightly revamped “1977” is due on December 18th.

Grammy-winning singer and songwriter The-Dream is getting ready to release his third album, 1977. With this commercial release, fans can expect more of the same smooth R&B sounds that have made him a household name. This new project comes after months of anticipation from devoted followers eager to get their hands on it.

The-Dream has been in the music business since 2003 and has worked with some of today’s most popular artists such as Beyonce, Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Justin Bieber and many others. His success continues to grow as he works with more high-profile acts like Drake and Jay-Z. From working alongside established stars to releasing solo projects, The-Dream has proven himself time and again as one of today’s top hit makers.

1977 promises to be no different. After teasing fans earlier this year with samples of songs off the new album, listeners are sure to be pleased once they finally hear what The-Dream has cooked up for them. With production from Tricky Stewart, Los DaMystro and Pop & Oak among other notable producers, there’s no doubt that 1977 will keep everyone talking.

Background Information

The-Dream is an American singer, songwriter and producer who has worked with some of the biggest names in music. His latest project, 1977, was released as a free mixtape on August 31st, 2011. It was his first independent release since 2007’s Love vs Money album. The collection earned him critical acclaim from critics and fans alike for its unique blend of R&B and Hip Hop sounds. Now, The-Dream is ready to take things a step further by releasing a commercial version of the album.

This new edition will feature five new songs that weren’t included on the original mixtape; four brand new tracks and one remix track featuring Big Sean and Pusha T. Alongside these additions are two bonus videos which showcase both the creative process behind the making of ‘1977’ as well as live performance footage from various shows across North America. With this upcoming release, The-Dream hopes to reach an even wider audience while still staying true to himself musically.

All in all, it seems like he’s managed to put together something special that should appeal to both old fans and newcomers alike – showcasing why he’s been such a respected figure within the industry over the past several years. It’ll be interesting to see how this reworked version performs commercially when it drops in early 2012.

Album Details

The-Dream’s commercial version of 1977 is set to hit shelves in early 2012 and will feature five new tracks. Along with these, two bonus videos are included that provide a behind the scenes look at the making of ‘1977’ as well as live performance footage from various shows across North America. This reworked edition is sure to be an exciting release for both old fans and newcomers alike.

The album features production from The-Dream himself along with help from some big industry names including Hit-Boy, Da Internz and No I.D., among others. He has also enlisted guest appearances from Pusha T, Big Sean and Ludacris – each offering their own unique flavor to this already diverse collection of music.

Overall, it looks like The-Dream has created something special here; one which should appeal to anyone looking for quality R&B/Hip Hop sounds. With its mix of fresh collaborations, bonus content and classic Dream soundscapes, this upcoming release promises to be a captivating listen when it drops on store shelves in early 2012.

Conclusion

The anticipation for The-Dream’s 1977 album has been steadily building since the release of its first single “Wake Me When It’s Over.” Fans can now rejoice, as he is finally ready to give them a full commercial release of his much awaited project. With features from Big Sean and Pusha T among others, this album promises to be an exciting journey through the rapper’s work.

I am personally looking forward to hearing more about the production that went into making this album happen. I have heard some snippets of what it will sound like, but I cannot wait until its official release so that I can experience the entire thing in all its glory. His past albums have shown us how talented he is at crafting complex stories and intricate beats, so expectations are high for this one!

Overall, 1977 looks set to be a great addition to The-Dream’s impressive discography. We’ll just have to wait and see if it lives up to our hopes when it officially drops later this year!
