R&B singer-songwriter Ne-Yo is full prootional mode for his forthcoming fifth studio album, R.E.D., due in stores Tuesday, November 6. Prepping for his November 5th Fuse Takeover, the “Let Me Love You” crooner opened up with the portal about a plethora of topics, including working with Beyonce and Jay-Z.
“Working with Beyoncé is some of the most useless I’ve ever felt because she doesn’t need any help,” Ne-Yo told Fuse. “She’s that good. I think I might have stepped out of the room to get tea, came back, and the song was done.”
Ne-Yo, who also worked with Beyonce’s husband Jay-Z, brags about his intelligence. “I was in the studio with Jay and it was amazing that this man does not write anything down. If you’ve ever taken the time to break down a Jay-Z lyric and just how many double and triple entendres he uses, the fact that he doesn’t write any of that stuff down just speaks to the intelligence of the man.”
