“Fly” collaborators Rihanna and Nicki Minaj are leading nominees at the 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards.
Nominated for awards based on their efforts “Talk That Talk” and “Pink Friday,” they join fellow nominees including Jay Z, Carly Rae Jepsen, Rita Ora and Justin Bieber.
With a strong six nominations, Rihanna leads the pack overall. Her nods include Best Female, Best Pop, Best Look, Best Song, and Best Video.
With three nominations, Nicki Minaj is tied with Lady Gaga, Jepsen, and Lana Del Ray.
The 2012 MTV EMAs are due to air live from Frankfurt’s Festhalle Sunday, November 11.
Performers and presenters are to be announced at a later date.
