“Our Version of Events” singer Emeli Sande and Alicia Keys have become close friends.
Discussing their bond following Keys’ contribution to her song “Hope,” Sande says she has been writing for the Grammy Award winner’s follow up to “The Element of Freedom.”
“It came out really naturally, and as people we really connected and as musicians we connected as well,” Sande tells Business Week. “It developed into such a great relationship. It feels like I’ve really made a friend in the industry.”
As previously reported, Keys is putting finishing touches on her as yet untitled album led by the hit song “New Day.” As for Sande, her debut album, “Our Version of Events,” debuted within the top 10 in the U.S. earlier this month.
