D’Angelo’s comeback tour continues. The soulful crooner has just been confirmed for a late Summer trek with none other than the Queen of Hip Hop/Soul Mary J. Blige.
Blige broke the news at the Essence Music Festival this weekend, confirming they will tour together for much of August.
“I felt like it would be refreshing and fun for people to see him and Mary J. Blige on the road together,” Blige told Rolling Stone.
Together D’Angelo and Blige will play twenty dates in August.
While a full list has not been revealed as of yet, Blige does have four dates locked in for August including stops in Boston and Virginia Beach (see below).
8/18/12 – Virginia Beach, VA Farm Bureau Live at Virginia Beach
8/19/12 – Wantagh, NY Nikon at Jones Beach Theater
8/21/12 – Boston, MA Bank of America Pavilion
8/23/12 – Holmdel, NJ PNC Banks Arts Center
