Rihanna and Beyonce are two of this year’s most successful divas. According to Billboard, the “Where Have You Been ?” and “Schoolin’ Life” singers have some of the best videos and style of the year (so far).

Based on votes placed on Billboard.com, Rihanna’s “Where Have You Been ?” music video is the Best Music Video of the year. Pushing the hit single, taken from her 2011 effort “Talk That Talk,” the video received 21% of votes. Adam Lambert’s “Never Close Our Eyes” (19%) and Katy Perry’s “Part of Me” (17%) followed respectively.

While Rihanna’s video was no.1, she fell to no.2 behind Beyonce on Billboard’s Best Style of 2012 chart. With the album “4” under her belt and a “Most Beautiful” distinction from People magazine, Beyonce earned 26% of votes to Rihanna’s 17%.
Rihanna does however share the second “Most Shocking Moment” of 2012 with Chris Brown. Their “Birthday Cake” and “Turn Up The Music” remixes came in just behind the shocking loss of Whitney Houston.
Nicki Minaj, Drake, Lionel Richie, and Lady Gaga also made Billboard’s “Mid-Year Music Awards” poll.
You can see the entire list of “Best Of,” “Most Shocking,” “Best Album,” “Feuds,” and more at Billboard.com.

It’s been a busy year for music so far, and Billboard has taken notice. Three of the biggest names in the industry have made it to their ‘Best of 2012 So Far List’: Rihanna, Beyonce, and Chris Brown. These three superstars have had no shortage of success over the last few years, but this list proves that they’re still dominating the charts. Let’s take a look at what they’ve accomplished so far this year!

The first artist on our list is none other than Rihanna. She kicked off 2012 with her sixth studio album, Talk That Talk which was met with widespread praise from fans and critics alike. Since then she hasn’t looked back; two singles from the album went Platinum while another reached Gold status in the U.S., making her one of only four artists to achieve both honors in 2012 alone. She also recently released her seventh single “Where Have You Been?” which quickly became an international hit as well.

Beyonce comes next on our radar – releasing her fifth solo album 4 late last year it received critical acclaim across the board. It’s spawned five top 10 hits on Billboard Hot 100 chart thus far including “Love On Top” and “Countdown”. Her latest single “Dance For You” has already become a fan favorite too. Additionally Beyonce has been touring tirelessly throughout Europe this summer so there’s no sign of slowing down anytime soon!

These two powerhouse female singers are joined by R&B sensation Chris Brown who recently released his fifth album Fortune after much anticipation from fans around the world. The lead single “Turn Up The Music” rose rapidly up the charts hitting number ten in just two weeks and reaching Platinum certification shortly thereafter – proving that he still holds sway amongst pop audiences everywhere. His followup single “Don’t Wake Me Up” also earned him similar accolades upon its release, further cementing his place among today’s elite musicians!

Musicians Who Qualified For The List

The Billboard charts have been a reflection of the music industry for decades, and 2012 has already seen some impressive accomplishments from many musicians. Rihanna, Beyonce, and Chris Brown are among those who made it onto the list of best performers so far in 2012.

Rihanna released her sixth studio album this year after dominating charts last year with hits such as “We Found Love” and “Where Have You Been?” She also embarked on an extensive world tour that was highly successful. Her latest single “Diamonds” is doing well too, making its way up the Hot 100 chart quickly.

Beyonce had a massive comeback in 2011 but she hasn’t stopped there; she’s continued to raise the bar throughout 2012 with performances at both Super Bowl XLVI halftime show and The Grammy Awards. It looks like Queen B won’t be slowing down anytime soon!

Chris Brown received critical acclaim for his fifth album Fortune which debuted at number one on Billboard 200 during summer of 2012. He recently completed his “Carpe Diem” tour where he performed songs off his new album to sold out crowds across Europe and North America. It appears that Chris Brown is back better than ever.

Achievements Of Featured Artists

These three artists have had quite a year. Rihanna has been on the rise since her last album, releasing chart-topping singles and taking her tour around the world. She’s also found success with her latest single “Diamonds” which is quickly climbing up the Hot 100 chart. Beyonce, already an international superstar, returned in 2011 and kept it going into 2012 with massive performances at The Super Bowl halftime show and The Grammy Awards. Chris Brown recovered from his controversy of years past to release Fortune and embark on his ‘Carpe Diem’ Tour where he performed songs off his new album to sold out crowds across Europe and North America. All three of these musicians have achieved great things throughout this year so far that they can be proud of.

Conclusion

It’s no surprise that Rihanna, Beyoncé and Chris Brown have made Billboard’s Best of 2012 So Far list. They are three of the biggest stars in music today, with each one achieving amazing feats throughout their respective careers.

Rihanna has been topping charts since her debut album Music of the Sun was released in 2005. She is a nine-time Grammy Award winner and has sold over 250 million records worldwide, making her one of the best-selling artists of all time. Beyoncé is also an international superstar, having won 22 Grammy Awards as well as numerous other awards for her impressive body of work. And finally, Chris Brown continues to be an influential figure in modern R&B and hip hop music, having achieved multi-platinum success with every major release he has put out so far.

No matter what genre you prefer or who your favorite artist may be, it is undeniable that these three have had a massive impact on popular culture this year alone; they certainly deserve to be included among the best of 2012!
