Novel, known behind the scenes in the music business for his songwriting contributions with Leona Lewis (Whatever It Takes), Joss Stone (Music) and David Guetta (Hero), is preparing to release of his own project.
In March 2012, Novel will deliver a solo album entitled ‘Red Wine & Ambien,’ which is a follow-up to his 2011 mixtape ‘Grant Me Serenity.’
The first single released from ‘Red Wine & Ambien’ is the Mick Boogie produced “Walk On By.” The record pulls in a sample of Donald Byrd’s “Wind Parade,” which became popular in to 1990s due to sampling usage in Blackmoon’s classic “Buck’em Down.”
Novel, a musician’s journeyman, continue to follow the path of his father (William “Mickey” Stevenson) and father (Solomon Burke).
