Sanjaya Malakar is now ready to take another step to further his musical career. The American Idols Live! Tour 2007 ended just yesterday, and after participating in the said event, the 18-year-old former American Idol finalist is ready to create his very first solo album. Malakar gained recognition on American Idol’s season 6 when he advanced to the 7th place with public votes. Despite all the criticism thrown at him, he is eager to pursue his musical career and prove himself to the American audience, and eventually to the world. “I’m definitely going to focus on music because that’s my passion. So I’m going to do that and definitely focus on that,” Malakar explained to TV Guide. “But I’m interested in other things, like acting and modeling. So basically I’m just going to see where the road takes me and ride the wave. I’m excited about it.” The former Idol contestant currently doesn’t have anything concrete yet, however, he has already been offered various projects. One thing’s for sure though, he is certain that his upcoming album will be his main focus in the coming months. “I’m really excited about my album. I’m going to start working on it as soon as I move out to L.A. I’m going to start meeting with writers⦠I don’t necessarily know how to describe it, when I do, it sounds like I don’t know what I’m talking about,” he explained to TV Guide. “But I have a really, really, really good idea. Basically, it’s just going to be me. It’s going to be my personality in the form of music.” “See, it’s going to be an R&B-rooted vocal style, but I want to integrate jazz emotion and rock energy and world beats, world sounds,” he continued. “So it sounds kind of schizophrenic, but I’d marry them in a comfortable way. I’m confident it will sound good.” The singer who brought “SexyBack” is now ready to bring it back again. This 2-disc special edition includes Timberlake’s multi-platinum sophomore set, plus three additional tracks: “Until The End Of Time” (featuring Beyonce), and new versions of “SexyBack” and “Sexy Ladies.” The DVD portion of the set includes music videos, behind-the-scenes footage and tapings of various live performances.
