R&B singer Ne-Yo who was reportedly booted from the R. Kelly âDouble Upâ tour made an on-air appearance on New Yorkâs 105.1 to clear up all the misleading reports. As previously reported, Allan Mayer, a spokesperson for R. Kelly, said the singer did not have a role in Ne-Yo being booted off the tour: “Ne-Yo’s departure from the ‘Double Up’ tour was the result of a contractual issue between him and the tour promoter. R. Kelly had nothing to do with it.” In contrary, Ne-Yo says Kelly was being selfish. The âBecause Of Youâ star said R. Kelly took all the dressing rooms, and he also said certain stage props that he wanted to use was denied. This is not the first time R. Kelly has had issues with another major artist on tour. Last year Jay-Z claimed that Kelly was the one responsible for the October collapse of the duo’s “Best of Both Worlds” tour. In answering Kelly’s complaint, Jay-Z describes the 36-year-old singer as prone to crying fits and, in light of his “precarious financial and legal circumstances,” desperate for money.
