Two of the most talented R&B singers from the 90s are coming back to the light. The long awaited reality show K-CI and JoJo… Come Clean premiered on TV One on October 19, 2010. Many fans could not wait to watch the two brothers and former Jodeci members attempt to sober up for the next thirty days.
Best Duo Group, Best R&B Video, Favorite Soul Album, you name it, K-Ci and JoJo were nominated or took the award home for it. Young, talented and successful they were. The brothers came out with hit after hit, “You Bring Me Up”, “All My Life” and featured on Tupac’s “How Do You Want It?;” just a few that we all can remember. Their first album released in 1997, Love Always, sold four million copies, putting a definite hold on Jodeci’s reunion. The fourth K-Ci and JoJo album, Emotional, was released on November 26, 2002, but did not find commercial success. They slowly vanished from the R&B world.
Recent videos and interviews with the Hailey brothers clearly show that they are battling with a drug addiction. We know we can expect some good laughs and tears, as they face their biggest challenge for the next thirty days to fight a drug and alcohol addiction. This may be a start to a possible Jodeci reunion. We were fans once, can we be fans again if they come clean?
