Since Lady Gaga first burst into the music industry, her style has been outrageous and very flamboyant when it comes down to fashion. One thing that people would have to admit is that her style is very unique. Whether some may say that she is changing fashion and opening people’s mind to new style or you think that she is not stylish but freaky and an attention seeking celebrity, there’s no one quite like her. Many will be surprise to know that her fashion style will be rewarded. Lady Gaga picked up her “Style Maker” Award at Monday night’s Accessories Council Excellence Awards that was held at Cipriani in New York. Designer Marc Jacobs, her new found friend, presented her with the award for her daring fashion styles.
When it comes to “accessories,” Lady Gaga is definitely not shy. Her look often includes hair bow, sunglasses, hats, feathers, gloves and lots of jewelry at once. People anticipate what she is going to wear and it is exciting to see accessories as such a meaningful part of someone’s wardrobe,” said Karen Giberson, President of ACE. “Whether it’s her hat, or gloves, she is always well appointed.” To all of her detractors, on Monday she picked up her award, it was like sweet, sweet justice.?
Does the “Poker Face” singer deserve to be honored for a fashion style with this prestigious award? The other honorees of the evening included Diane Von Furstenberg (an Accessory Visionary Award), Thomas Maier of Bottega Veneta (Designer of the Year), Burberry (Brand of the Year) and even Barbie the legendary doll as a Fashion Icon.
