Fall ’08 is all about classic, timeless pieces that- just like you- make a statement. Trends come, go and come back again so this season all you need is a few staple pieces and the clothes you already have.
What to buy:
Black or Dark Demin Jeans: Invest in a great pair of jeans: skinny leg, boot cut (yes it’s back in!), or wide leg; you cannot go wrong. Sweaters/Cardigans: For chillier weather, sweater and cardigans are a must. An oversized sweater looks great belted with jeans just as a longer cardigan is the perfect ending touch with leggings or a skirt. Go with a color that matches everything, black or grey. Tights in all colors: Go crazy, red, blue, yellow, black tights are a chic alternative to leggings and jeans. Pair thick, hued tights with an oversized belted sweater and some boots and you’re good to go!
Belts: Belts ruled the runway and they can help you rule the street! Cinch your waist with a thick, corsetted belt, or a thin belt over a cardigan is just the right touch.

Now that you have these Fall musts, search in your closet for pieces to complete your look. T-shirts, tanks, dresses, and skirts you were planning to store away are still usable for the Fall. Pair a summer dress or skirt with a belted cardigan and boots and you’re ready to hit the streets runway style. Your favorite summer peeptoe pumps will look great with tights and an oversized sweater. Jeans, a flowy tank, and a cardigan are a go for cool weather with an amazing pair of boots or flats.
