The Poughkeepsie Journal reported Tuesday (June 5) that R&B singer Akon is being investigated by police after he threw a concertgoer into the audience on Sunday. The Fishkill town police are first trying to identify the concertgoer, the newspaper said. “We’re trying to identify that kid, just to find out whether or not we have any kind of criminal offense,” Detective. Lt. John Berlingieri said. “We are looking to speak to him. No victim. No crime.” Berlingieri told the Journal that talks have been held within the police department regarding the possibility of questioning Akon about the incident, which happened at WSPK-FM’s annual KFEST concert at Dutchess Stadium. This isn’t the first time Akon has been in the line of fire for an incident at one of his concerts. In May, he apologized for grinding on stage with a 14-year-old girl at a concert in Trinidad in April.
