After exiting Akon’s Konvict record label, Planet VI, formerly known as the duo Rock City, has high hopes in relaunching their music career. Leading the way is the first single “Sex, Drugs, Rock & Roll,” a duet with Bad Boy recording artist Cassie, where the group breaks down how being cool can lead you nowhere.

“Sex, drugs, rock-n-roll, some of the greatest stories never told,” Cassie groves on the track’s intro, while Planet VI croons about being caught up in the lifestyle.

Planet VI was released from Akon’s Konvict Records this year after being signed to the label for five years without releasing an album. Prior to their departure, the group launched a public campaign dubbed PTFAO (Put the F**king Album Out) to appeal their business relationship.

The duo is known for writing and producing for artists like Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, Jennifer Hudson (Grammy nominated), R. Kelly and Akon. The duo will release their debut album “Free At Last,” on their record label, Rebelution Records.

Planet VI, the up-and-coming R&B group, is making big moves! After their exit from Konvict Music earlier this year, they have been hard at work on a new single and it’s finally here. The group has teamed up with none other than Cassie to create an epic track that fans are sure to love. This collaboration marks Planet VI’s first release since leaving Konvict Music, and it proves that they can still make great music without the label.

The song itself is an emotional ballad about letting go of the past and embracing life in the present moment – something we could all use during these uncertain times. As if that wasn’t enough, the video for their new single features some stunning visuals along with incredible dance sequences from both Planet VI and Cassie herself. It truly brings to life the message of living every moment to its fullest potential.

We were lucky enough to get our hands on a sneak peek of Planet VI’s upcoming single before it was released publicly – trust us when we say you won’t want to miss out on this one. Read on for more details about Planet VI’s exciting venture into solo territory following their departure from Konvict Music!

Overview Of Planet Vi

Planet VI is a hip-hop collective from Atlanta, Georgia. The group consists of four members: Mikey Dollaz, Mista F.A.B., Bump J and Shonie. They have been actively making music since 2008, releasing multiple mixtapes and albums. Planet VI has also collaborated with several high-profile artists including Rick Ross, Big Sean, Wale and more.

This year however, the group made headlines for their departure from Konvict Music’s label roster in December 2015. As a result, they decided to partner up with singer/songwriter Cassie Ventura on a new single titled “Afterlife” which was released in February 2016. The song was well received by fans and critics alike as it showcased the groups diverse sound that ranges from melodic singing to hard hitting rap verses.

The collaboration between Planet VI and Cassie marks an exciting new chapter for the Atlanta based quartet as they continue to make waves in the music industry while still staying true to their roots.

Collaboration With Cassie Post-Konvict Exit

Planet VI’s collaboration with Cassie Ventura was an exciting move for the group, especially after their decision to part ways from Konvict Music. The new single “Afterlife” has been a success and is a testament to how versatile Planet VI can be when it comes to making music. The track combines melodic singing and hard-hitting rap verses in an upbeat tempo that makes it both catchy and enjoyable to listen to.

The song serves as a reminder of the talent and potential these four members have individually and collectively. It also gives insight into what fans can expect from them once they officially start releasing music independently. Even though it’s still early on, Planet VI’s partnership with Cassie could potentially lead to more collaborations with other artists, further strengthening their musical presence in the industry.

With “Afterlife” being such a hit already, we are sure this won’t be the last time we hear from Planet VI or see them collaborate with other major names in music. This could mark the beginning of something great for the Atlanta based quartet; only time will tell!

Conclusion

Planet VI and Cassie’s new collaboration is sure to be a hit. It marks an exciting time for both artists, as it signals a new chapter in their careers post-Konvict exit. With such talented performers coming together, there’s no doubt that this new single will be something special.

Their combined experience and creativity makes them the perfect pair for creating groundbreaking music. Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of this track, which promises to take us on a sonic journey into uncharted territory. We can’t wait to hear what these two have cooked up!

Overall, Planet VI and Cassie teaming up after Konvict’s departure is an incredibly exciting development for all involved. This highly anticipated single shows how powerful the combination of these two amazing artists can be when they come together. Their unique styles blend together beautifully, making this musical partnership one worth watching out for!
