Season two of VH1’s ‘Love & Hip Hop’ kicked off with a bang by scoring a 1.8 in the key P18-49 demo making it the highest rated premiere in franchise history. Additionally, the premiere was the #1 non-sports cable telecast of the day among viewers 18-49, pulling in over 4 million total viewers.
“This season will bring you closer into the lives of the cast in a way that will keep you glued to the TV,” said executive producer Mona Scott-Young. “Trust me!”
Singer Olivia also spoke out about the new season recently, insisting the world will see a different side of her this go round.
“Just know that I took on something very big for me, that was a big issue for me head on, we did it on the show,” she told Chicago’s WGCI Morning Riot Show. “I don’t even want to say what type of person and give it away, just know there’s a lot of things going on, like things in my past that I was just like you know what? I need to say something, I need to address it because it has always bothered me when I was over at the unit and I’m just going to go for it.”
Staring R&B singer Olivia Longott, Chrissy Lampkin, Emily Bustamante and Somaya Reece, with new additions Kimberly “Kimbella” Vanderhee and Yandy Smith, season 2 picked up where the first season left off, following the lives of six vibrant women, each with a link to the exciting, glamorous and high-stress world of hip hop.
