Singersroom recently chatted with the lovely Ms. Meelah, the former lead singer of platinum-selling R&B group 702, about her upcoming Lady Soul tour in Japan. The “Where My Girls At?” hitmaker, who says “I Love traveling, I’m a gypsy, I move around a lot,” is excited about the international trek and had nothing but great things to say about her peers Lil Mo and Changing Faces.
“I’m excited about going to Japan, I haven’t been to Japan in over a decade. I look forward to visiting Tokyo and Osaka,” Meelah told Singersroom. “I will be doing a couple of shows, the Lady of Soul Tour with Lil Mo and Changing Faces.”
As far as her peers she added: “I remember listening to Changing Faces growing up. I really love their music. While I was in 702, I thought they were so dope because it was two girls in the group and not three or four. Outside of Zhane I’ve never seen that before. I felt it was unique because there wasn’t a lot of duos at that time. Lil Mo brings that strong fire gospel vocals; she just gives that strength vocals that makes you wanna hum like the ole’ church women did.
The Lady Soul Greatest Hits tour is set for August 4-5th in Tokyo, Japan, courtesy of Billboard Live!
