R&B singer R. Kelly was rushed to the hospital and underwent emergency throat surgery yesterday, according to CBS Chicago. He is coming off of his U.S. tour for his latest studio album ‘Love Letter,’ and it is currently unknown when he will be back on the road for his worldwide tour.
Kelly’s publicity agency 42 West tells CBS Chicago that the surgery took place on Tuesday at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Earlier in the day, Kelly saw a specialist with a severe sore throat, and he was rushed to the hospital after the exam to have an abscess on one of his tonsils drained. As of now, his publicist says that “he will be laid up indefinitely.”
R. Kelly just recently made headlines for the $2.9 million foreclosure lawsuit on his house last week.
We hope for him to have a speedy recovery.
