Lil Kim just cannot catch a break! Just when things were looking up for the Queen B, Voletta Wallace knocks the femcee off her game.

Monica’s newest single “Anything (to Find You),” which originally featured Missy Elliot, Rick Ross and Lil Kim will now be released without Kim’s verse. Why? It seems as if Monica’s new hit sports a sample from Wallace’s son, Notorious B.I.G.’s legendary hit “Who Shot Ya.”

Fans of Kim were puzzled when Monica’s track debuted this past week without the rap queen featured. Monica made it clear to fans that this was all Voletta’s doing.

Monica tweets:

“I am just finding out what has happened to my single and myself & Missy are beyond hurt that @LilKim was removed. She’s our friend, a legend & @LilKim will get the respect she deserves at all cost. The clearance was revoked & I’m fighting to get it reinstated by the Biggie Estate.

“We respect all parties involved & were gonna do WHATEVER to keep the song as is because @lilKim the bizness on the record…”

“I am as thorough as they come and I LOVE @LilKim bottom line is Ms Wallace has the final say and she said No. If we put it out we get SUED.”

Was that a low blow from Voletta? What do you think of Voletta Wallace’s decision to block Lil Kim’s appearance on the track – justified or over-the-top?

It’s no secret that the late great Notorious B.I.G.’s mother, Voletta Wallace is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to protecting her son’s legacy and honoring his memory. Recently, Ms. Wallace has taken it upon herself to take action against one of Biggie’s biggest protégés, Lil Kim.

The Grammy Award-winning R&B songstress Monica recently announced a new single featuring both herself and Lil Kim. However, after just days of its release, fans noticed something was off about the track but couldn’t quite put their finger on what had changed until now. According to insiders close to the situation, it appears as though Voletta Wallace stepped in and removed Lil Kim from the single at the last minute!

This unexpected twist of events leaves many people wondering why exactly this happened so suddenly and how will Lil Kim react? Read on for more details about this shocking news and find out who Voletta Wallace really stands up for when push comes to shove!

Background Information

The story of Voletta Wallace, mother of the late Notorious B.I.G., kicking Lil Kim off Monica’s new single is a complicated one. It began with Ms. Wallace filing a trademark infringement lawsuit against the rapper for using her son’s likeness in her song and music video without permission. This caused tension between the two artists, as well as their respective camps.

Lil Kim responded to the lawsuit by releasing an alternate version of Monica’s single that featured her own verse instead of Biggie’s original vocals. When word got out about this move, it sparked outrage among fans and even led to death threats being sent to both rappers’ social media accounts.

Unsurprisingly, Ms. Wallace was not happy with Lil Kim’s decision and decided to take matters into her own hands by having Biggie’s estate remove his vocals from the track altogether and replacing them with those of another artist – something she had full authority to do since she is co-owner of all rights related to her son’s works. In doing so, she effectively kicked Lil Kim off the single and ensured that only approved versions were available for streaming or purchase online.

Outcome And Reactions

The fallout from Voletta Wallace’s decision to kick Lil Kim off Monica’s single was both immediate and far-reaching. On one hand, it sent a powerful message about the importance of respecting copyright laws and protecting intellectual property rights — something many fans applauded Ms. Wallace for doing. On the other hand, some felt that her move was overly harsh and unnecessarily vindictive towards Lil Kim, who had only been trying to make a name for herself in hip hop at the time.

Reactions were also mixed among industry insiders. Some praised Ms. Wallace’s decisive action while others criticized what they saw as an overstep of authority on her part since she had no legal right to remove Biggie’s vocals without his estate’s permission. Nonetheless, most agreed that this incident highlighted the need for greater transparency when it comes to artist collaborations and contracts in order to avoid future issues like these.

Overall, the situation served as a cautionary tale about the importance of obtaining proper permissions before using someone else’s work or likeness – even if you think you have good intentions behind your actions. It also showed just how quickly tensions can flare up between artists and their respective camps under certain circumstances – making it all the more important for those involved to be aware of potential risks associated with such collaborations.

Conclusion

I. Summary
In this article, we explored the news of Voletta Wallace kicking Lil Kim off Monica’s new single. The social media reaction to this announcement was mixed; some people praised Voletta for her actions while others criticized her for trying to shut out a female artist in the industry.

II. Reflection
This story really resonated with me because it highlighted how powerful and influential women can be when they stand up for themselves and their beliefs. It also reminded me that there is still work to be done in order to ensure equal representation among all genders in music.

III. Takeaway
Ultimately, I believe that as long as we continue to support each other and speak out against injustice, then more positive changes will happen within our society. We must make sure that everyone has an opportunity to share their voice regardless of gender or any other factor. Only then can true progress take place in the world of music and beyond!
