In support of her newly released single, “I Am Woman,” Grammy nominated R&B singer Jordin Sparks will perform the new track on American Idol Thursday May 12. Produced by and co-written by hit-making producer Ryan Tedder, “I Am Woman” boasts Sparks’ transition into womanhood after turning legal recently.
“‘I Am Woman’ is exactly what it means,” Jordin explains about the song title. “I just turned 21, I’m breaking out and the world is my canvas! The song is for me and all the young women who are discovering who they are and are proud of it!”
In addition to Idol, Sparks will kick off her tour run with New Kids On the Block and the Backstreet Boys on their highly anticipated NKOTBSB upcoming North American trek in Rosemont, IL on May 25th 2011.
