It’s safe to say that becoming involved with certain people can reek havoc on your life, especially if you have a sordid past. With that said it appears professional athlete Matt Kemp has received much more than he bargained for with a mirage of investigative journalists sifting through his past. In the last three weeks alone Kemp, while photographed traveling with Rihanna, has had a restraining order, allegations of abuse and violent tendencies unearthed for the world to review across many sectors of entertainment. Now, sources say Kemp may have been the subject of a rape related investigation at the age of 17. According to numerous published reports, including an article posted by CNNSI in 2002, Kemp and at least two other athletes were investigated for allegedly forcing a girl “into sexual conduct at the Columbus Hyatt Hotel at about 2 a.m. Sunday morning while two other players watched.” While Kemp has not yet addressed the allegations, things are not looking up for the athlete and his budding ‘friendship’ with Rihanna. Rihanna has not issued a statement regarding the allegations. Even still, Kemp might have made some mistakes or may even be innocent. Taking a break from being ‘friendly’ with Rihanna however, might be in his best interest if there’s more that can be dug up. What do you think ? Should Rihanna move on ?
