While officials detained a number of people onboard Lil Wayne’s tour bus in Texas over the weekend, the rapper’s lawyer says he has not been charged with drug possession and will proceed with tour plans as scheduled. Speaking with TMZ Saturday, the Grammy Award-winner’s lawyer says some people onboard at the time had been cited for drug possession. As previously reported, Lil Wayne, real name DeWayne Carter, Jr and his entourage were all detained after drug sniffing dogs found the marijuana on two tour buses Friday. According to Agent Joe Trevino, the buses were en route to Laredo, Texas, from a concert stop in Hidalgo state. Lil Wayne, who plead guilty to charges of second degree felony criminal weapons possession and criminal possession of a loaded weapon, following his 2007 arrest in New York, is scheduled to start his jail sentence in February according to court papers.
