Cash Money has not and will not abandon its Grammy Award winning superstar Lil Wayne. In a statement issued Friday, Cash Money Records’ Bryan Williams and Ronald Williams say their relationship with the “Lollipop” star remains unchanged. “The Cash Money family will continue to support our artist and friend Lil Wayne in his current court case. We have worked with Wayne since he was a teenager, and have seen him grow into one of the world’s most successful hip-hop artists, with a work ethic that is second to none,” Cash Money Records’ statement reads. “Wayne has our love and commitment during this difficult time. We always have and always will stand behind him. -Ronald “Slim” Williams and Bryan “Baby” Williams, Cash Money Records, Oct. 23, 2009″ As reported earlier this week, Lil Wayne is facing up to a year in prison after pleading guilty to felony gun possession. While he has not been sentenced, legal experts believe the rapper could serve anywhere from 8 to 10 months behind bars.
