Collaborative efforts with T.I. and Lil Wayne have earned Rihanna and Bobby V nominations at BET’s forthcoming BET Hip Hop Awards 2009. Nominated for the hit singles “Live Your Life” and “Mrs. Officer,” Rihanna and Bobby V will vie for awards including Best Hip-Hop Collabo, a category that pits them against Rick Ross and John Legend; Jim Jones, Ron Browz and Juelz Santana; and Young Jeezy feat. Kanye West. The latter of the Best Hip Hop Collabo nominees, Kanye West, leads overall nominees with a total of nine nominations. (see list below) Fresh off the album “808s & Heartbreak,” Kanye West’s leading nine nominations include MVP of the Year, Best Live Performer and Lyricist of the Year. Following Kanye West with seven nominations a piece are Lil Wayne and Jay-Z. Going head to head with West for Lyricist of the Year, Wayne and Jay-Z are also up for Hustler of the Year. Hosted by Mike Epps, the BET Hip Hop Awards 2009 are slated to air October 27 at 8pm.
