Trey Songz says his forthcoming album “Ready” will be “a classic body of work”. “This album isn’t just going to be a compilation of songs, but a classic body of work”. After releasing two successful efforts, including the Grammy-nominated “Trey Day,” Songz says this third album is all about evolving. “It feels cohesive and reflects the changes you see in my physically, with my new haircut, and everything else that represents me evolving into manhood,” Songz told Billboard last week. “This album is very easygoing and very sexy.” Johnta Austin, Troy Taylor, Carlos “Los DaMystro” McKninney, Eric Hudson and Bryan Michael Cox are among those who have contributed to the album. “Ready” is due in stores and digital retailers September 1.
