Bet you didn’t see this one coming, Anthony Hamilton and Dr. Dre collaborating for what is the producer/artist’s most anticipated album “Detox”! According to Anthony Hamilton the record is done and he is simply waiting for a confirmation on whether the song will make the cut. “I’m keeping my fingers crossed on that one,” says Hamilton. “Dre’s very, very, very good at getting what he wants. He’s pretty talented. when he’s producing something he’ll try different ingredients and he’ll make what he feels is the best for the project”. Dr. Dre is not the first Hip Hop heavyweight to collaborate with the “Cool” singer. Hamilton teamed up with both The Game and Jadakiss a few years back and linked with David Banner for 2008s “Cool”. He also has credits on 2Pac’s “Better Dayz” album. In related news, Anthony Hamilton is gearing up for his next album. Unlike his previous efforts, Hamilton says there will be a mix of everything from country to rock. In other words, he’s trying something different: “It’s gonna be a blues, country, soul, rock kind of album on the next one,” he tells Billboard. Hamilton’s as-yet-untitled seventh studio album is due to hit stores late 2009/early 2010.
