In a recent interview, producer/songwriter Ryan Leslie gave an interesting update on his forthcoming third solo album, ‘Les Is More.’ After previewing several tracks from the new effort, which boast more rhymes than singing, Leslie says the new project is about showcasing his spitting game.
“Les is More is a rap album, and I want to control everything on it. I’m writing all the lyrics, and I’m producing the record, too,” Leslie tells Bullet Magazine. “As far as collaborations, I’ve been playing records for some peopleâ 50 Cent, Kanyeâ¦I’m going to send a song to Pusha from the Clipse, too, and we’ll see who wants to get on it.”
Ryan’s rap skills can be heard on the recently released tracks “Joan of Arc,” “Breathe” and “Maybachs & Diamonds.” Les Is More is currently slated for a July 4th release.
