On Nov. 15th, Los Angeles-based, Ethiopian singer, songwriter and visual artist, Arima Ederra, will release her 10-track EP, Temporary Fixes.
Today, check out the first single from the upcoming EP called “In My Garden,” produced by London-based producer Jack Hyde.
About the song, Arima tells FADER, “I’ve been ready to sprout. As people, sometimes I feel like we can be our biggest obstacles. The ‘garden’ was a metaphor for me. At the time that I wrote the song, I felt like I was ready to sprout, yet found myself still coming back to this garden to work on me again and again. We are ever growing and evolving beings, it’s important to allow ourselves the time and nurture we need to grow. No matter how much you may frequent the garden, it’s a space for you to come back to you.”
“Now I’m here, here in my garden / now I’m here / waiting to sprout,” she sings on the chorus.
Arima has previously worked with Chance The Rapper, JMSN, Dizzy Wright, Warm Brew and others.
