R&B singer/songwriter John Legend joins the October wave of veteran releases by dropping his brand new single, “Love Me Now.”
On the new song, which boasts a different vibe than his 2013 mega hit “All Of Me,” Legend puts forth an uptempo groove full of commercial appeal. His trademark tone and emotional delivery is a mainstay as he sings, “I don’t know who’s gonna kiss you when I’m gone.”
“It’s all about loving and living to the fullest, don’t wait till tomorrow,” states Legend during a Facebook Live Q&A. “Hold the people you love close to you right now.”
“Love Me Now” is a dedication to Legend’s supermodel wife, Chrissy Teigen, who is featured on the single’s cover art.
Likely a dedication to Legend’s supermodel wife, Chrissy Teigen, the song’s artwork features the new parents in an intimate moment.
“Love Me Now” is the first offering from Legends forthcoming fifth studio album, Darkness and Light, the follow-up to 2013’s Love in the Future.
