Monica’s highly anticipated album Code Red will arrive tomorrow, and to tempt your palate for more Monica music, here’s a track from the set called “All Men Lie.”
It’s a Timbaland-assisted song (on production and vocals) that has Monica fed up and Timbo playing devil’s advocate.
“See you might play the game, but you done played with my heart / If you was as smart as you claim, you wouldn’t have got caught up,” she sings, and Timbo asks, “If all men lie, tell me what the women do, aye!”
In a recent interview with Singersroom, Monica explained Code Red is her contribution to bring R&B back to the heart. “Code Red was just my way of saying let's bring attention to the music. I love the music today, but I think it's important to get back to music that touched our hearts,” she told us.
