Behold, the empire of Rihanna continues to grow!
The singer already has multiple fragrances, a gang of multi-platinum albums, multi-million dollar endorsements, etc. Now, she’s launching a “beauty and stylist agency” called Fr8me.
The Hollywood Reporter states that the agency will help artists in fashion and make-up with booking commercials, editorial shoots, ad campaigns, and red-carpet gigs.
“Hair, makeup and styling play an important role in creativity,” says Rihanna. “I am very involved with that part of my process, so this agency was an organic thing for me to do.”
She continues, “We are lucky enough to have some of the best artists at Fr8me, but I also have a soft spot for finding new talent with extraordinary skills!”
The roster she speaks of consists of her own makeup artist Mylah Morales, Tarji P Henson’s stylist Jason Bolden, and stylist Marcia Hamilton, to name a few.
Her business partner Benoit Demouy says they’ll sign people with skills from social media. “The industry’s changed so much—rates have gone down, and clients just grab images off social media, trying to bypass paying artists,” he said. “But we’re concerned with social media, too—we’ll take a makeup artist with 500,000 followers over someone else.”
This news comes after rumors that her album Anti has been pushed back to an unknown date, allegedly to avoid competing with Adele’s forthcoming album, 25.
