Short-but-sweet smoothness…
That’s what Florida singer-songwriter Zan crafted with his offering “Smooth,” only one-and-a half minutes of buttery goodness. On the song, he manages to blend doo-wop and modern alternative R&B sounds for a satisfying interlude.
“When I wrote ‘Smooth,’ I was thinking about music that has been ignored and forgotten by a big percentage of my generation," Zan tells FADER. "My parents were born in the '50s and I grew up listening to music from the 60s’ and up, so I just want to bring that feeling that I know is missing."
No word on what project this will appear on, but in the meantime, sway along to this musical dollop.
