Not only is Rihanna starring in the upcoming DreamWorks film HOME as the voice of the animated main character Tip (a little girl who resembles RiRi a lot, green eyes and all), she’s also curated the soundtrack and has released her solo contribution to the project called “Towards the Sun.”
It’s an epic song with tribal influence that suggests an amazing, positive journey. "Turn your face towards the sun/Let your shadows fall behind you," she sings.
As the project’s organizer, Rihanna has rounded up the likes of Charli XCX, Jennifer Lopez (who also lends her voice to the film) and Kiesza. Home will be released in theaters on March 27 and also stars Jim Parsons and Steve Martin.
This should hold the Navy over as they await Rihanna’s eighth album! Rumored to be titled R8, the album is reportedly coming later this year and is headed by the single “FourFiveSeconds” ft. Kanye West and Paul McCartney.
