Things are finally looking up for Olivia’s music career. The
31-year-old songstress has officially inked a deal with Grammy-nominated
producer Jerry Wonda and his label imprint, Wonda Music.
Having been signed to two record labels before this, Olivia
Longott is no stranger to the entertainment world. In fact, much of her
struggle was aired on this past season of VH1’s ‘Love & Hip-Hop’ as viewers
got an inside glimpse of the ups and downs of Olivia’s journey to reach this
destination.
For the past year, Olivia has stayed busy to remain relevant
to the mass media, as she was not only on the VH1 reality show, but she also
spent time performing shows and promoting her single “December,” which is taken
off of her debut LP, ‘Show The World.’
‘Love & Hip-Hop’ fans first saw Olivia and Jerry Wonda’s
initial meeting in the season finale, as they collaborated together on one of
Olivia’s heartfelt song written in dedication for her mother.
Music producer Jerry Wonda is mostly known for his work on
The Fugees’ 1996 album, ‘The Score,’ as well as working with Destiny’s Child on
remixing their hit single “No, No, No” and Shakira’s smash single “Hips Don’t
Lie” in 2006. He has also worked with the likes of Mary J. Blige, Estelle,
Justin Bieber, Keyshia Cole, Keri Hilson, Miguel, and Musiq Soulchild, amongst
others.
Olivia is aiming to release her album ‘Show The World’ later
this year.
