Mateo's Indie Grind Pays Off With Interscope Deal
Mateo has gradually built his resume and fan base as an independent musician over the last few years. The Cincinnati native's dedication and talent paid off with a new record contract from Interscope Records.

"I really feel like the lane we are in is that young foolish love thing that everybody goes through; it is everybody's story," Mateo revealed about his sound.

Mateo signed to Kerry "Krucial" Brothers imprint Krucial Noise last year after leaving MySpace Records in 2010. He released his fourth mixtape "Love & Stadiums" featuring the hot single "Don't Shoot Me Down."

The buzz from the project, along with live performances around the U.S., helped the R&B crooner capture national attention.
