When Usher set out to work on his “Raymond V. Raymond” album, which arrived in stores this week, the “OMG” singer had iconic performers Michael Jackson and Marvin Gaye on his mind. “For me, I think [Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye] — they figured out what they were as they were going, by inspiration as well. Philanthropy is one thing all of them did in some way — rather, it was allowing their music to speak to where they were and what they had to say, from Michael to Stevie Wonder to Marvin,” Usher shared with MTV this week. “The one thing they all had is the ability to last forever. Two of them are now gone, Michael and Marvin, their music will last forever, and that’s something I hope to accomplish.” With a solid catalog of hits and albums, including “Confessions” and “8701,” the singer may just achieve that goal. While Usher may have his goal of following Michael and Marvin with similar success checked off, he admits that it has been difficult for people to get to know the real Usher. On “Raymond V. Raymond,” he wanted to change that. “Part of the reason why I did this album so you can understand the full spectrum of who I am as an artist,” says Usher. “Raymond V. Raymond” is packed with the singles “OMG,” Lil Freak,” “Papers” and the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Songs top ten charting “Hey Daddy (Daddy’s Home)”.

Usher Raymond is a multi-platinum selling artist and has been in the music industry for over two decades. His career has seen many successes, and he’s now back with an album that pays homage to some of his greatest influences: Michael Jackson and Marvin Gaye. This new album shows Usher as an artist paying tribute to those who helped shape him musically, while still maintaining his signature sound. It promises to be a powerful listening experience, combining elements of funk, soul, pop, and R&B into one cohesive package. In this article we will discuss how Usher Raymond’s latest album is influenced by Michael Jackson and Marvin Gaye and look at why it stands out from other albums released recently.

Analysis Of Usher Raymond’s Albums

Usher Raymond is an artist whose career has been heavily influenced by the works of other music icons, such as Michael Jackson and Marvin Gaye. His albums are a testament to this influence, with each one showing off his knowledge of their styles and sounds. In this section, we’ll take a look at how Usher’s albums have been shaped by these two influential figures in music history.

To start, it’s clear that many of Usher’s musical stylings owe much to the work of Michael Jackson. From his early days as a teen singing sensation to more recent projects like “Confessions,” Usher has consistently incorporated elements from Jackson’s signature sound into his own creations. Not only does he utilize similar instruments, but also familiar vocal techniques and choreography which pay homage to the King of Pop himself.

Marvin Gaye has also had an impact on Usher’s discography over the years – particularly when it comes to ballads and love songs. Through heartfelt lyrics and soulful melodies, Usher often conveys feelings reminiscent of those found in some of Gaye’s most iconic hits such as “Let’s Get It On” or “Sexual Healing.” By blending together both artists’ styles into something uniquely his own, Usher has managed to craft smooth R&B tunes that will continue to be enjoyed for generations to come.

It is clear then that without the contributions made by greats like Michael Jackson and Marvin Gaye, Usher would not be able to create the captivating pieces he does today. As such, we can thank them for providing invaluable inspiration for one of our favorite musicians!

Influence Of Jackson And Gaye

The influence of Michael Jackson and Marvin Gaye on Usher Raymond’s music cannot be overstated. From his early days as a pop star, to more recent works like ‘Confessions,’ Usher has consistently drawn from the work of these two iconic figures in order to craft his own unique sound.

Jackson’s signature style is present throughout many of Usher’s albums, with recognizable elements such as vocal techniques, instrumentation, and choreography being utilized to pay homage to the King of Pop himself. Similarly, Gaye’s soulful melodies have provided inspiration for some of Usher’s most heartfelt ballads and love songs – tracks which often evoke emotions similar to those found in hits by Gaye such as “Let’s Get It On” or “Sexual Healing.” By fusing together both artists’ sounds into something distinctively his own, Usher has created an impressive collection of R&B tunes that will continue to be appreciated for years to come.

It goes without saying then that we owe much gratitude towards Jackson and Gaye for providing invaluable musical guidance for one our favorite singers!

Conclusion

I have thoroughly enjoyed analyzing Usher Raymond’s albums and the influence of Jackson and Gaye on his work. It was interesting to see how their musical styles blended together in his music, creating a unique sound that is all its own.

Usher has been able to craft an impressive body of work over the years, with each album showcasing his creative style and ability to draw inspiration from greats like Michael Jackson and Marvin Gaye. He has managed to put a modern spin on classic sounds while still paying homage to those who inspired him. It’s clear he is passionate about making quality music, something both Jackson and Gaye would be proud of.

Overall, it’s exciting to witness Usher’s growth as an artist. His willingness to explore different genres while remaining true to himself makes for some amazing listening experiences. I’m sure there will continue to be more masterpieces ahead!
