WHITE SUNS

The second full-length from Brooklyn’s White Suns is a passage into the deeper recesses of contemporary psychic struggle. Their previous album Waking in the Reservoir (UgExplode, 2011) blasted the surface of this territory with its barrage of cannibalized electronics, mutilated guitars, effects-laden drums and wrathful vocals. Sinews (Load, 2012) stretches the band’s previously presented ideas beyond their breaking points. On this release, the band’s dense soundscapes are explored in more detail and warped beyond recognition. These are the sounds of a populace coming to the realization that help is not on the way and no one else’s fingers will pull the triggers.
