Faith Evans & The Notorious B.I.G. – Ten Wife Commandments

Class is in session!

R&B veteran Faith Evans gives wives a lesson on marriage in her new music video for “Ten Wife Commandments,” but don’t get it twisted, she’s not teaching a traditional lecture.

“Gotta be a lady in the streets, gotta be a freak in the sheets, but don’t do too much,” she advises all the women aspiring to be a good wife, insisting, “You break the rules… I’ll do the same.”

“Ten Wife Commandments” is a flip of her late husband The Notorious B.I.G.’s 1997 song, “Ten Crack Commandments,” and features Faith on the hook and new verses while using pieces of Biggie’s original verses. The record appears on Faith’s latest album The King and Ia posthumous duet project featuring B.I.G and other artists like Lil’ Kim, 112, Busta Rhymes, and more.

“With ‘Ten Crack Commandments’ being one of the songs I had always wanted to redo, I found it and got to work!” she previously told Rolling Stone. “It took a few different sessions to get the commandments to be meaningful and clever, but I do feel these are points that both men and women can appreciate.”

The album’s first two singles are “NYC,” Evans’ love letter to New York featuring Jadakiss, and “When We Party,” the West Coast party anthem featuring Snoop Dogg.

The King and I was released 0n May 19th by Atco Records, an imprint of Rhino Entertainment.
